4 year industry placement course
- During the first year of study, the course involved instruction in Java and Haskell programming languages whilst teaching fundamentals of Computer Science, including Information Systems – involving databases – and instruction in Mathematics required for the course. I achieved a Merit (60%) for the year.
- The second year of study emphasised more on the application of programming languages, particularly Java, Haskell and C, whilst creating formal specifications in Z. We also studied Networks and Communication, Computer Architecture, Parallel and Imperative Programming in Occam and Operating Systems. I achieved 68% for the year.
- Gained an Industry placement at Eli Lilly and Company Ltd. In Basingstoke, worked as a Mobile Computing Analyst in the Client Computing Department, please see Work Experience for more information.
- In my final year, I am studying Dynamic Web Applications, Cognitive Neural Networks, Mobile & Ubiquitous Computing, Human-Computer Interaction, Graph Theory and Security & Cryptography.
- For my final year group project, we are developing a JSP based dynamic web application including a backend SQL database for the administration and content management of University modules, lectures and assessments.
